This one was a little special for me, photographing the wedding of my lovely cousin Leanne and her beau Mike – no pressure 😉
Heading over to start capturing the hours before the ceremony I could instantly notice the excitement in the air, huge smiles, a few teary eyes and lots of laughs which made it a perfect moment to seal in time for their wedding album. Leanne’s father’s face when he saw his daughter all dressed up and ready to be guided down the aisle to wed the man of her dreams was just lovely – getting this particular shot, whether it be with the father of the bride, the mother of the bride or of course the groom, where they first lay eyes on their loved one before she becomes a wife is so important, it’s the type of photo that will bring a lump to your throat for decades to come!
Mike and Leanne chose a beautiful church in Titchfield for their wedding, a stunning building that’s very much at the heart of a community that gave a lovely atmosphere to the proceedings as well as acting as a perfect backdrop for the photos.
After the ceremony we were lucky to have a break in the weather and headed out to the iconic Titchfield Abbey to take advantage of the awesome scenery to create some fab shots for the newlyweds. There’s something about having a building such as the English Heritage protected abbey in your wedding shots, a building that has seen so many stories and tales playing a part as you begin your brand new married life!
I would like to wish Mike and Leanne all the happiness in the world for their future as husband and wife 🙂
